JOB PURPOSE:
The Security Officer will collaborate with the Security Lead and Security Manager to ensure a secure environment for customers and employees, adhering to security policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include safeguarding company assets from theft and other criminal activities. Successful performance in this role requires the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct routine security checks of all CAA properties.
· Maintain a detailed logbook for all security duties and generate incident reports as required.
· Assist in the daily opening and closing procedures of CAA properties.
· Report and investigate incidents of theft, product loss, and injuries.
· Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all aspects of the job.
· Monitor surveillance cameras for any signs of suspicious activity.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
· Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
· At least two (2) years of experience in the field of security.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
· Basic computer skills, with ability to utilize MS Outlook
· Capability to work effectively under pressure and adeptness in multitasking.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license and be capable of driving in Canada.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. The associate must be capable of performing manual labor daily, including lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs., unassisted, standing for extended periods, reaching with arms/hands, walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull as required, likely exposure to moving items throughout shift.
