Job Purpose: The position of a Grab N’ Go Worker is responsible for greeting customers, taking & packing orders, and the preparation of all Grab-N-Go food items. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and maintain a positive, friendly attitude toward staff and customers. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Job duties and responsibilities
- Prepare subs, sandwiches, and wraps according to customer requests and menu offerings
- Cash Handling and operation of POS (Point of Sale) touch screen register system
- Prepare pizzas, hotdogs, and burgers according to customer requests
- Operation of deli slicing machine and scales are considered assets, willing to train
- Perform simple calculations related to food preparation
- Stock Grab-N-Go open merchandiser
- Clean work area ensuring a safe environment
- Organize and maintain fresh ingredients inside coolers at all times
- Wash all dishes as needed; keep floors clean of all debris; take out trash as often as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of deli cooler and other coolers
- Monitor “hot case” ensuring items are stocked and fresh
- Follow food preparation and sanitation guidelines to stay compliant with regulations
- Ensure that left over food is disposed of properly
- Report equipment and food quality problems to manager
- Works efficiently under pressure, such as busy times
- Answering phones with confidence and ease to place to-go orders both through the restaurant and Grab-N-Go area
- Performs additional duties as requested by supervisor
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, general education diploma (GED) is considered an asset
- Must have high attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Be able to lift 50lbs unassisted
- Shift may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Able to sit, walk, and stand for long periods of time as needed. This position takes place in an office setting, at time prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer are required. This position may also require working longer hours and weekends is a possibility and local travel is required.
