Maintenance Manager

Full Time

Job Purpose: In the position of Maintenance Manager, you will supervise the flow and quality of work to assure completion of workload and maintenance efforts throughout company locations. Will create a schedule to ensure company buildings and properties are well maintained and to ensure preventative maintenance. Will oversee and assign maintenance worker duties. Addresses any issues that may come up regarding property or building upkeep.

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure that all maintenance, repair, and replacement are performed on time and are cost-effective.
  • Manage preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance at all business locations, conducting daily inspections of properties to establish maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot minor plumbing, building repair, and maintenance.
    Responsible for managing maintenance department labor.
  • Determine priorities and assign all work in the Maintenance Department. Responsible for assisting and training the maintenance employees as necessary and evaluating their job performance.
  • Ensure property lots are plowed during winter months.
  • Perform setup and take-down of equipment during events.
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies.
  • Coordinate outside company for additional maintenance services when needed
  • Check mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems of buildings to ensure functionality
  • Plan and oversee all repairs and installations
  • Operate equipment with safe practices and ensure that staff follow safety protocols
  • Implement a preventative maintenance program
  • Develop and review existing maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
  • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance—Owner reviewed and approved
  • Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
  • Report and evaluate effectiveness of maintenance department

Education and Experience:

  • Must have High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • Must be able to work in Canada and the US
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must have 3+ years in a manager position
  • NYS CDL is considered an asset
  • Be able to lift 50lbs
  • Knowledge of maintaining properties and buildings
  • Computer knowledge to navigate through software such as Hippo
