JOB TITLE: TRIM TEAM MEMBERS

REPORTS TO: TRIM TEAM SUPERVISOR/POST HARVEST MANAGER

CLOSING DATE: JANUARY 1, 2024

 

SUMMARY: As a member of the Trim Team, you will be working with your peers and team leaders to maximize efficiency by consistently modeling a positive attitude towards work, being accountable and responsible to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals. You will help to trim and manicure our flower to quality standards set by management. This is a fast-paced position and requires a keen eye for detail, high quality and safety standards, and the ability to perform repetitive and finely tuned scissor trimming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:

  • Responsible for daily goals set by management to achieve department’s metrics.
  • Maximize production and minimize waste of quality flower.
  • No Raking, no shaving, no crow’s feet, no visible stems, clean cuts, no bud cutting.
  • Identify subpar quality indicators, mold, pests, etc. and communicate questions or concerns to Trim Team Supervisor
  • May be responsible for operating automated trimming machines.
  • Maintain proper working function of all trim team tools.
  • Maintain cleanliness of trim tools and workspace
  • Work closely with fellow team members, while being able to perform independently.
  • Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

Provide exceptional production support by:

  • Working with your peers and your team leaders daily to maximize efficiency by consistently modeling a positive attitude towards work, being accountable and responsible to daily, weekly, and monthly goals and adapting to changes in all tasks where required, which may include being cross trained in other departments.
  • Learning from your direct leaders, team leads, peers and utilizing other resources available to continually expand your knowledge base and fine-tune processes.
  • Assist in the development of reports for department/focus area.
  • This position requires working scheduled weekends as needed.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be 19 years of age to apply.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year in a fast paced, highly regulated work environment
  • Able to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and written

 

WORK CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to use both hands and tools to assist in the trimming process. Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time in a climate-controlled environment, walk, kneel, crouch or crawl as required and safely lift a maximum of 50 lbs. The employee must ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and knowledge of how to manage their own personal safety under these conditions.
