A local Akwesasne entrepreneur with success across many different sectors, including restaurants, gas stations, manufacturing, construction, and retail. As CEO, he drives the vision of CAA Management while overseeing several projects and operations. The knowledge and intuition that he brings guides us as one of the large economic engines for the community.

Carey is also the founder of the Strong Roots Charitable Foundation, which is focused on providing support to empower and enrich the lives of First Nations youth and elders with a focus on health and safety.

In addition to CAA Management she provides consulting services to Indigenous-owned small businesses through Mohawk Marketing & Sales, and manages Indigenous World– an authentic Indigenous arts store, website and non- profit organization that supports avenues for the cultural, social and economic growth of Indigenous communities across North America. 

Her leadership foundation is rooted in her experience as a business development specialist and dedicated volunteer. Mother of two and the daughter of a deaf mother, Kimberly strongly advocates for the Native American and international Deaf communities.

Since receiving her education from Syracuse University, Ms. Tarbell has served in a number of executive financial management positions.  Most notably, holding the position of General Manager of the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino.  Under her leadership, the AMC prospered into a major source of revenue for the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and Ms. Tarbell was a recipient of the Great Women of Gaming Award by Casino Enterprise Magazine.

Ms. Tarbell is also an active participant in community boards and initiatives and previously served as a Director of the Tewathahon:ni Economic Development Board and the Strong Roots Charitable Foundation.
